In the summer of 2016, my husband and I took our children on a long-awaited trip to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We’ve always wanted to visit Atlantic Canada, and my husband has a lot of family there. In Halifax, we were able to stay with his lovely uncle and aunt, who opened their home to us and were marvellous hosts. His aunt particularly likes purple irises, and had decorated her kitchen and dining room with them. As a thank you for their generosity, I designed and made this throw for them.
