Upscale Baby Cardigan

This was designed as a baby gift for a co-worker who likes fashion and accessories. So I thought she would enjoy the texture motif on this little cardigan for her wee one! Minimal seaming, raglan sleeves, and a single button at the top also add to its appeal.

Sizing

• Finished chest circumference of approximately 18.25”
• Finished length of approximately 10”
• Sleeve length 5.5"
• To fit actual chest circumference of 16”

Materials needed

• Yarn: One ball of Hayfield "Baby Bonus 4 ply", 100% acrylic, 510yds/100g, colour 964
• Needles:
  • Three 2.75mm straights (two for working with, one as a spare to hold stitches temporarily)
  • Set of 2.75mm DPNs
• Five stitch holders
• One button (about a half-inch in diameter)
• (optional) Four stitch markers

Gauge

• One horizontal repeat of chart = 9.5”
• One vertical repeat of chart = 4 1/8”
