18 stitches to 4 inches/10 centimetres on 4.75mm needles in stocking stitch

- Yarn: Red Heart "Comfort" (aran weight), 100% acrylic, amount unknown - enough to make a hat!
- 4.5mm double-pointed needles OR two 4.5mm 16” circular needles (if using the two circular technique) OR one 4.5mm 80cm circular needle (if using the Magic Loop technique)
